FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Wesley Enhanced Living Ranks Among Top Four Best Workplaces for Aging Services™ According to Great Place to Work® and FORTUNE

Warminster, PA (August 20, 2021) — Great Place to Work® and Fortune magazine have honored Wesley Enhanced Living as one of the 2021 Best Workplaces in Aging Services™. This is Wesley Enhanced Living’s fourth time being named to this prestigious list, this year ranking #4 in the Senior Housing Small-Medium Category. Earning a spot means that Wesley Enhanced Living is one of the best companies to work for in the country.

The Best Workplaces in Aging Services award is based on analysis of survey responses from more than 220,000 current employees. In that survey, 88% of Wesley Enhanced Living’s employees said Wesley Enhanced Living is a great place to work compared to 59% of employees at a typical U.S.-based company.

Wesley Enhanced Living was also named a Best Workplace for Aging Services in 2020, 2019 and 2018.

“Those working in our senior-living services – from direct-care workers, to the front desk clerks, to the custodial staff, to administrators – were challenged like never before this past year. We all felt the ripple effects of the pandemic as it roared on. Yet, despite unexpected stresses and changes to our industry, one thing continues to ring true: our team members are the lifeblood of our organization’s success,” said Pat Lamoreux, vice president of human potential for Wesley Enhanced Living. “While I am proud and humbled by this team-earned honor, it takes hard work and a purposeful commitment to foster a working environment where employees feel connected to the mission, connected to each other and engaged in the community.”

Wesley Enhanced Living employee results showed:

  • 92% of respondents feel like they make a difference at Wesley Enhanced Living
  • 92% of respondents feel good about the ways we contribute to the community
  • 91% of respondents feel their work had special meaning and is not “just a job”

The Best Workplaces in Aging Services list is highly competitive. Great Place to Work, the global authority on workplace culture, selected the list using rigorous analytics and confidential employee feedback. Companies were only considered if they are a Great Place to Work-Certified™ organization.

Great Place to Work is the only company culture award in America that selects winners based on how fairly employees are treated. Companies are assessed on how well they are creating a great employee experience that cuts across race, gender, age, disability status, or any aspect of who employees are or what their role is.

“We are incredibly proud of The Best Workplaces for Aging Services. They fought bravely and saved countless lives during the COVID-19 pandemic,” says Dr. Jacquelyn Kung, CEO of Activated Insights, the partner of Great Place to Work in senior care. “Years of research has shown how great workplaces contribute to lower employee turnover and better quality of life for seniors. These honored workplaces showcase the compassion and stories behind the research. Our biggest congratulations and appreciation go to these awardees.”
