Wesley Enhanced Living & Martins Run Sign Affiliation Agreement

Martins Run will Join Eight Other Wesley Enhanced Living Retirement Communities

Hatboro, Pa., and Media, Pa., December 1, 2014 – Today, Wesley Enhanced Living (WEL), and Martins Run—non-profit continuing care retirement community (CCRC) providers—entered into an affiliation agreement.  Under this agreement, Martins Run will become part of the Wesley Enhanced Living organization. Pending the completion of regulatory approvals, this affiliation is expected to become effective during the first quarter of 2015.

Martins Run, a single-site 258 unit senior living community, provides independent living, personal care, and rehabilitation and skilled nursing services on a  22-acre suburban campus minutes from the Main Line in Marple Township, PA. WEL operates CCRC’s and affordable adult housing facilities throughout Philadelphia, Montgomery and Bucks counties, with 1,140 units, serving over 1,200 seniors in their eight communities.

This affiliation will provide Martins Run with more opportunities for service enhancements, operational efficiencies, and access to capital for campus re-investment projects. The partnership enables WEL to establish a footprint in Delaware County and further its mission to provide high quality retirement living services at incomparable value.

“Martins Run is delighted to be joining forces with WEL, a respected regional leader in senior living known for innovative approaches in the management and operation of retirement campuses.  More importantly, Martins Run and WEL share a values-based commitment to enhancing the lives of residents.   These shared values bode well for a great working relationship that will benefit our residents, their families, and our staff,” said Linda Sterthous, Chief Executive Officer, Martins Run.

“Martins Run’s reputation is stellar and the campus has been beautifully maintained, with exciting opportunities for enhancements in the years to come. We are thrilled that the Martins Run board has chosen WEL as its partner and we look forward to what we can accomplish together,” said Jeff A. Petty, President & Chief Executive Officer, Wesley Enhanced Living.
