Newest Artist Spotlight Series features Rhoda Ryba’s Mixed Media collection inspired by the Hebrew Bible MEDIA, PA (June 2, 2016) — Wesley Enhanced Living Main Line will continue the community’s popular and long running Artist Spotlight Series in June with Rhoday Ryba’s “Painting the Poetry of the Bible” exhibit. The display, which runs from June 3 to June 30, is open to Wesley Enhanced Living Main Line residents and visitors all month long, and will include an exclusive one-night-only reception and lecture on Monday, June 6 at 6:30 pm. Ryba is retired from a 30+ year career in hospital and healthcare organization management, and is a lifelong student of the Bible.  She has learned and taught the principles of the Torah, the Prophets and the Writings, and the inspiration for living that she finds there.  Her mixed media/collage work imbeds Jewish saying and Biblical word and phrases into symbolic abstract illustrations of the deeply meaningful messages that move her. “Many of our residents here at Wesley Enhanced Living Main Line believe in the Jewish faith and will appreciate the symbolic abstract illustrations that this exhibit displays” says Linda Sterthous, Wesley Enhanced Living Main Line executive director. “Because we have become an interfaith community, our non-Jewish residents enjoy learning new things and have enjoyed being educated and introduced to another culture.” The Artist Spotlight Series remains a popular community benefit since its introduction in 2012. It was originally created to enable Wesley Enhanced Living Main Line residents to experience art right in their own community. The program has since grown into a robust and highly anticipated community event each month. To reserve a seat at the exclusive reception on June 6, or for more information on Wesley Enhanced Living Main Line’s Artist Spotlight Series, please contact program coordinator, Amy Blum at 610.353.7660 ext. 254 or email ablum@wel.org.   # # # About Wesley Enhanced Living (WEL) The non-profit Wesley Enhanced Living (WEL) continuing care communities have a dedicated mission to deliver a purpose-filled life to residents.
