Newest Spotlight Artist Series will feature Malvern fine artist Monique Kendikian-Sarkessian; will be open to the public for an exclusive one-night-only event May 6 MEDIA, PA (April 29, 2015) — Wesley Enhanced Living Main Line, formerly known as Martins Run, will continue the community’s popular and long running Spotlight Artist Series in May with a spiritual exhibit highlighting Malvern artist Monique Kendikian-Sarkessian. The display, which runs May 2 thru May 30, is open to Wesley Enhanced Living Main Line residents and visitors all month long, and will open to the public for an exclusive one-night-only reception and lecture event on May 6 at 6:30 p.m. The Spotlight Artist Series has been a popular resident benefit since its creation in 2012. It was originally created to enable Wesley Enhanced Living Main Line residents to experience new and unique art pieces right in their own communities. “Our Spotlight Artist Series has become a popular feature of our unique residential community,” says Linda Sterthous, Wesley Enhanced Living Main Line executive director. “Residents enjoy spirited discussions about the changing exhibits each month, and many artistically gifted residents spend time in our onsite art studio recreating or interpreting the displays.” Featured fine artist Monique Kendikian-Sarkessian, the focus of May’s Spotlight, has earned local recognition for her creative use of oils and encaustic wax. Her recent industry awards include second place in the inaugural Plein Air Brandywine Valley Art Competition and honors from Artist’s Equity, Delaware Valley Art League, Main Line Art Center and Chester County Art Association. “My mission is to use my artistic gifts to translate the joy of creation and the beauty in our world,” said Kendikian-Sarkessian. “I seek to express the truth of inspired design through unique artistic mediums.” To reserve a seat at the exclusive reception on May 6, or for more information on Wesley Enhanced Living Main Line’s Spotlight Artist Series, please contact program coordinator, Amy Blum at 610.353.7660 ext. 200 or email ablum@wel.org. # # # About Wesley Enhanced Living (WEL) The non-profit Wesley Enhanced Living (WEL) continuing care communities have a dedicated mission to deliver a purpose-filled life to residents.
