Wesley Enhanced Living at Stapeley Completes Multi-Million Dollar Renovation Wesley Enhanced Living at Stapeley, a continuing care retirement community with deep roots in Northwest Philadelphia, has just completed a $5 million dollar renovation that includes a total reconstruction of its rehabilitation and skilled nursing center, as well as major improvements to dining and recreational spaces for independent living and personal care residents. The community’s Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center features new rooms and baths, remodeled dining rooms and lounges, as well as a refurbished entrance. Additionally, the Rehabilitation Suite received a new supported ambulation system, making Wesley Enhanced Living (WEL) the first skilled nursing facility in Pennsylvania to offer this type of supportive rehab device. Comprised of an overhead track and harness, the system eliminates the fear of falling while patients perform rehabilitation activities. Other areas of Stapeley that have been renovated include the recreational lounge, dining room/restaurant, library, and entrance for independent living and personal care residents. Additionally, hallways that connect the community’s 43 senior living apartments were enhanced with new finishes including flooring, paint and lighting. New landscaping and a covered, outdoor patio completed the improvements. The transformation has helped to improve demand for Stapeley’s senior living apartments, as well as its personal care and memory care accommodations. “Our recent renovations have piqued a lot of interest among area seniors and their families. We continue to receive great feedback about the new décor and improved amenities.  Demand is so strong that we have begun a waiting list for some of our apartment styles,” says sales manager Julie Flanagan. Stapeley offers daily tours and welcomes neighbors to view its renewed design and amenities. Tours can be scheduled by calling 215-991-7110.
