Transformation Project Also Includes Enhanced Dining and Lounge Areas, Expanded Outdoor Living Space, and Much More…   Hatboro, Pa., September 15, 2014 – Wesley Enhanced Living, a non-profit continuing care retirement community (CCRC) provider with communities in Philadelphia, Bucks, Montgomery and Monroe counties, just completed a $5 million renovation project at its Stapeley community in the Germantown section of Philadelphia.  The continuum of care community now features a completely remodeled skilled nursing center which provides a homelike environment featuring a modern dining area and bright open spaces.  The design also created a superior, streamlined working environment that allows for exceptional quality of care.  In addition, the on-site rehabilitation center was expanded and upgraded with state-of-the-art physical therapy equipment.      Highlights of the project also include the construction of a contemporary lounge and fireplace in the community restaurant which invites relaxed socialization amongst residents.  Near year-round outdoor dining is now also available with the addition of a large, covered outdoor patio.  For ambiance, a pergola overlooking the community’s beautiful gardens was also added.  Higher quality design elements and increased open spaces were incorporated into the project to enrich and enhance the living and working environment at the community.       The Germantown community, now known as Wesley Enhanced Living at Stapeley, affiliated with Wesley Enhanced Living in the spring of 2010.  The 230 unit community offers independent living, personal care, dementia care, skilled nursing and rehabilitation services on a five acre campus.  Prior to affiliation, the community was experiencing financial challenges.  Wesley Enhanced Living turned the community around, making it financially viable once again.    “This development and renovation project was the result of a careful planning process that focused on upgrading all WEL communities to respond to the current and future lifestyle and healthcare needs of seniors,” remarked Jeff Petty, President and CEO of Wesley Enhanced Living.  “Our investment in Wesley Enhanced Living at Stapeley has been well received by both current and future residents as indicated in our census report which reflects near 100% occupancy.”   About Wesley Enhanced Living (WEL) Wesley Enhanced Living (WEL) continuing care retirement communities are non-profit and faith-based with a mission to deliver a purpose-filled life to residents.  Serving approximately 1,200 residents with more than 900 employees throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania, WEL provides various combinations of independent living, personal care services, dementia care, rehabilitation, and skilled nursing services.
