In her childhood, Helen was a big soccer fan. Her love of soccer morphed into a love for the sport of Hockey. She followed the Philadelphia Flyers for decades! On her 100th birthday, the Flyers gave her a professional hockey stick, signed by all the players. If that wasn’t enough, on her 104th birthday, her wish to meet an actual player came true when Hall of Famer, Bob the Hound Kelly came to her Wesley birthday party and presented her with her very own Flyers Jersey. He let her try on his championship ring, and she nearly fainted!
