Mike, a resident at our Wesley Enhanced Living at Stapeley community, had always wanted to go deep sea fishing but didn’t think it was a possibility for him. After submitting his WEL Wish to our staff, the perfect, wheelchair accessible, charter boat was found. Mike and his friend Brian set sail off the coast of Belmar, NJ, on the Golden Eagle, and had a terrific day fishing for bass, mackerel, and more. After a fruitful day of fishing, Executive Director and avid chef, Ken Beiler cooked the fish Brian and Mike caught at sea and they were able to enjoy a delicious meal.
