It’s 2019! A new year usually means a fresh start and healthy changes for many people. It can also mean a career change for others. Why not make it both? Wesley Enhanced Living’s Wellness Program is available to all employees. This program includes incentives to reduce the cost of medical benefits for eligible employees, tobacco cessation, weight loss and fitness reimbursement programs, Wellness Challenges, and educational newsletters.

This January, our employees are encouraged to sign up for the “Just for The Health of It: A Healthy Habits Challenge.”  This challenge offers rewards to those who complete various healthy habits over the course of four weeks. You earn points for every healthy habit you complete and those with the most points at the end of the challenge are entered into a raffle to win $200. Some of the healthy habits include: brushing your teeth twice a day, eating a healthy breakfast, drinking half your weight in ounces of water daily, taking a ten-minute walk, and getting up 15-minutes earlier than you usually do to avoid stress in the morning. The hope is that these habits will stick with employees after the four week challenge comes to an end.  Let’s face it – habits are hard to change. But the first step is starting small, by implementing these small changes into your daily lifestyle they will become part of an everyday routine.
