Wesley Enhanced Living Communities to Host Complimentary CPE Seminars Presented by Holy Family University Educators throughout 2015
Hatboro, Pa., February 11, 2015 – Today, Wesley Enhanced Living (WEL) and Holy Family University announced an innovative collaboration that will bring complimentary, university-designed continuing professional education to nurses and social workers who work with aging individuals and their families. Recognizing a need for specific continuing professional education that enhances skills and knowledge in geriatric care and services, the two entities have developed a series of unique CPE seminars that each award two CPE units approved by the National Association of Social Workers-Pennsylvania and the Pennsylvania State Nurses Association. Holy Family University educators will present the seminars at Wesley Enhanced Living Pennypack Park, 8401 Roosevelt Boulevard and Wesley Enhanced Living Burholme, 7040 Oxford Avenue, throughout the spring and fall of 2015. The complete schedule with seminar descriptions, as well as access to registration, can be found at visit.wel.org/ceu. “Holy Family University is invested in the success of our community and particularly in providing quality training for those who work tirelessly for our most vulnerable citizens. These kinds of partnerships in education give us a wonderful opportunity to invest in the lifelong learning of those who care for our loved ones, supporting Holy Family University’s core value: family,” says Dr. Linda Thompson, Director of Counseling Psychology programs at Holy Family University. “This is an exciting collaboration for Wesley Enhanced Living. Not only is WEL committed to ministering to the needs of seniors, but also to continually enhancing knowledge and skills for professionals who work with this population. The seminars that will be offered by Holy Family University educators will not only offer invaluable practical information, but also promise to be very rewarding for all participants,” says Shelley Ballet, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Wesley Enhanced Living communities.
