Artist Spotlight explores local artist and professor Jeremy McGirl’s work; includes public reception and lecture on December 8 MEDIA, PA (December 1, 2015) — Wesley Enhanced Living Main Line will continue the community’s popular and long running Artist Spotlight Series in December by featuring Jeremy McGirl’s work. The display, which runs December 2 through January 3, is open to Wesley Enhanced Living Main Line residents and visitors all month long, and will include an exclusive one-night-only reception and lecture titled “Evolution of My Work: Memory, Experience and Influence” on Tuesday, December 8 at 6:30 p.m. McGirl’s work consists primarily of drawings, paintings and collage.  Often, his art represents his recent experiences with the environment along with what he remembers from experiences he had with his surroundings when he was younger. Jeremy is currently an adjunct faculty member at Delaware County Community College and is involved with the Chester County Art Association. The Artist Spotlight Series remains a popular community benefit since its introduction in 2012. It was originally created to enable Wesley Enhanced Living Main Line residents to experience art right in their own community. The program has since grown into a robust and highly anticipated community event each month. “Our residents always enjoy seeing the new art exhibits every month,” says Linda Sterthous, Wesley Enhanced Living Main Line executive director. “Our residents aren’t the only ones who enjoy the Artist Spotlight Series either. Many community members and art enthusiasts attend the monthly reception and lecture to appreciate art, critique works and meet with local artists.” To reserve a seat at the exclusive reception on December 8, or for more information on Wesley Enhanced Living Main Line’s Artist Spotlight Series, please contact program coordinator, Amy Blum at 610.353.7660 ext. 254 or email ablum@wel.org.   # # # About Wesley Enhanced Living (WEL) The non-profit Wesley Enhanced Living (WEL) continuing care communities have a dedicated mission to deliver a purpose-filled life to residents.
