Wesley Enhanced Living at Stapeley Executive Director update 6/17/2021

Dear Residents, Families and Employees:

Vaccine:

Vermont canceled all restrictions because 80% of their eligible population has been vaccinated.  Walk-in vaccines are now available at Walmart.  Stapeley is able to provide two different COVID vaccines and you can choose the product you would like to be vaccinated with.  There are no good reasons not to be protected (with the exception of health issues).

Employees:

“To be a hero or a heroine, one must give an order to oneself.” – Simone Weil

This pandemic has been hard on everyone.  We lost a number of our Employees in the beginning due to fear and we have not been able to replace all of them yet.  This challenges our ability to provide service in ways this organization and our Residents prefer.  At times, it becomes necessary to prioritize what work is to be done.  Our commitment to providing you the best possible experience remains; we must also balance that with our commitment to our Employees.  We are committed to providing them a safe work environment and monitoring that they are not pushed to a breaking point.  The Employees who stayed on and continued to do the best they could have let us know they are tired at times.  I share this information with you along with a request to show all Employees grace as they do their very best to care for you. Thank you.

With gratitude,

Ken Beiler

Executive Director, Wesley Enhanced Living at Stapeley
