Wesley Enhanced Living at Stapeley Executive Director update 10/01/2021

Dear Residents, Families and Employees:

The COVID transmission rate in Philadelphia remains high, and we had one fully vaccinated Employee test positive this week.  They had no symptoms and are currently out of the building.  All Residents and Employees with possible contact were tested and there were no additional positive cases identified.  We now know who is recommended to receive the COVID booster vaccination and we will be providing dates for those COVID boosters, in October, for ALL Employees and Residents at all levels of care.  Employee and Resident flu vaccines will be administered in October as well.

I would like to make you aware that we have stopped accepting Cigna Medicare in the health center.   Cigna is no longer offering the ISNP program starting 2022 in Pennsylvania.  Open enroll for Medicare benefits begins October 15, we are encouraging our current Cigna Medicare residents in all levels to switch to another plan that we are contracted with.  We will not be able to accept Cigna participants into the health center for short term rehab if the need arises.

For any concerns, you may contact me at kbeiler@wel.org or 215-991-7101.  Internally, my extension is 802

With gratitude,

Ken Beiler

Executive Director, Wesley Enhanced Living at Stapeley
