WEL Upper Moreland Update 5/17/2021

Dear Residents, Families and Staff,

As most of you may have heard, the CDC has loosened mask wearing guidelines for indoors and outdoors for those who have been vaccinated. This is wonderful news for the push towards the new normal. The part of the announcement that applies to our community is related to congregate living. Our residents are currently approximately 98.5% vaccinated. Currently we are still mandated to wear masks on our campus. I believe that the day will soon arrive when we are be able to remove our masks and let our smiles shine for all to see.

With Memorial Day coming in 2 weeks and I am hopeful that the positivity rates will remain low through the holiday and the following weeks. A very good sign right now is that the positivity rate in Montgomery County for this past week is 3.8% down from 5.5% the previous week

I would ask everyone who receives this memo to make an effort to keep pushing those you know who have not received the vaccine to do their part!  It is obvious that it is working!

Friendship Pharmacy, our provider of pharmacy services to our personal care residents, is able to provide either the J&J or Moderna vaccine. The list of reasons to be vaccinated is long, and a major aspect will be the freedom to visit.

Here is the link to register to receive your vaccine through our pharmacy:

You can also obtain your vaccine through the following link:

Effective today:

Children may visit. Visits allowed in apartment. Masks must be worn throughout the community.

Up to 6 visitors per apartment. All must register with Accushield. If anyone is not vaccinated, please encourage them to become vaccinated.

At this time we are not allowing any family, visitor or outside guests to dine in our Dining Room. Take out and deliveries can be ordered and taken to the resident’s apartment.

Thank you and stay WEL!
