Updated Personal Care information for Wesley Enhanced Living Doylestown 6/8/2020

On Friday,  I issued notice that we are relaxing some of restrictions for apartment residents of this overall community.  However, these will apply only to NON-PERSONAL CARE residents.  Late on Friday, we received guidance from Department of Human Services – the state agency that oversees licensed Personal Care programs – and the Governor that restrictions on visitation will need to remain in place until at least 28 days after Bucks County is declared in condition green.  These are the same guidelines established for Skilled Nursing Residents.    This means that Personal Care residents, who live mainly on floors 2 & 3 and several who live on the upper floors, are not permitted to visit with family members outside, nor are they permitted to leave campus. The logic is that the best way to avoid virus infection is to remain in the building, in one’s apartment as much as possible.

We apologize for this adjustment in arrangements made necessary by new specific guidance.  In the alternative, we offer coordinated Face Time visits with family,  or ‘through the window’ conversations with use of cell phone.  If you wish to schedule this, please speak with a Personal Care staff person (267-895-1163).  There are also individual, exceptional arrangements for visitation with persons on Hospice.

If you have further questions or need clarification, please feel free to call.

All our best,

Martine Minninger
