Update on PC testing and Additional Positive Resident Case of COVID-19

Dear Wesley Doylestown Residents, Families and Staff,

Our rapid testing was conducted for staff and residents in Personal Care.  All residents have been tested and a handful of staff will be tested tomorrow.  Unfortunately, we had one resident in Personal Care test positive and a specimen has been collected and sent to the lab. The resident is asymptomatic, doing well, has been in quarantine since yesterday and their family has been notified.

Additionally, another staff person has had a laboratory confirmed positive.  This employee did not feel well and has been out of the building since last week.  The employee went for testing and received results this morning.

To recap, we have 4 laboratory confirmed positive staff.  We have 2 residents who tested positive with rapid testing and lab testing is pending; one resides in skilled nursing and one resides in personal care.  We also have 2 residents in Independent Living who are quarantining for 14 days due to close contact identified through contact tracing.

We will continue to monitor our residents and staff for symptoms.  At this time we will still be delivering meals to resident rooms and modifying programs and activities on an individual basis.  We will continue to update you regularly.  We appreciate the positive feedback we have received thus far regarding our swift actions and communications.  Please continue to keep our campus, our residents and our staff in your thoughts and prayers, especially those who are ill and/or impacted by COVID 19.
