Update for WEL Burholme Residents, Families and Staff– 12/14/2021

Dear Residents, Families and Staff,

The positivity rate for Pennsylvania has dropped from 15.2% to 14.4%, however the positivity rate for Philadelphia County has increased from 6.8% to 7.1%.

We currently have no cases at Wesley Enhanced Living Burholme. Let’s all do our part to maintain COVID free.

You can help us maintain a COVID free environment by wearing your mask, washing your hands, using hand sanitizer, and notify us if you have symptoms or if you have close contact with a COVID positive individual.

When staff are providing services in your apartment you need to wear a mask to protect yourself and our staff.

The last thing that we want to happen is a repeat of last year’s holiday season and shut down to visitors and restrict residents from leaving the community. Please do your part and refrain from any large gatherings with unvaccinated individuals. Please consider encouraging your family and friends to become vaccinated.

Flu vaccine:

Flu season has begun. Many of our residents have already received the flu vaccine and Wesley Enhanced Living as a company requires employees to receive the flu vaccine. I encourage you if you haven’t already received the flu vaccine to consider getting the vaccine. The flu vaccine as well as the COVID vaccine and booster are being offered at local pharmacies.

Thank you and stay WEL!

Daniel Frost

Executive Director
