Update for WEL Burholme Residents, Families and Staff– 11/02/2021

Dear Residents, Families and Staff,

COVID-19:

Unfortunately, We were notified that one of our staff tested positive for COVID-19. The staff member had very limited contact with employees and residents. The staff and residents who were in contact have been notified and will be tested over the next two days. There have been no reports of any other staff or residents with symptoms.

The positivity rate for Pennsylvania has decreased from 9.1% to 8.8% for the past week. For Philadelphia County the positivity rate has decreased from 4.3% to 3.3%. This offers cautious optimism.

We are on schedule for the Pfizer booster clinic on Thursday November 4th for the residents who received the Pfizer vaccine. We will not be scheduling the Moderna and Johnson vaccines. If you wish to receive the Moderna or Johnson booster, you will need to schedule your own booster shot appointment.

We will keep you advised of any new information or updates.

Thank you and stay WEL!

Daniel Frost

Executive Director
