Update for WEL Burholme Residents, Families and Staff– 07/15/2021

Dear Residents, Families and Staff,

We continue to monitor the number of changes to the CDC-COVID guidance including the relaxing of mask mandates in many settings.  The regulations and guidance for Skilled Nursing, Personal Care, Assisted Living and Continuing Care Communities have not changed.  We continue to require masks for all persons in common/public areas.  The number of people vaccinated continues to increase.  We are hopeful that the guidelines for all long term care and senior communities will change by the end of September.

The current positivity rates continue to decrease in the counties neighboring Philadelphia. And throughout Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania as a whole has a positivity rate of 1.1% and Philadelphia County has moved upward from 1.0% to 1.8%

In support of Wesley Enhanced Living’s (WEL) commitment to the health and safety of our residents, employees, and visitors, WEL will be mandating that all employees receive a completed series of the COVID -19 vaccine by September 1, 2021.

I would ask everyone who receives this memo to make an effort to keep pushing those you know who have not received the vaccine to do their part!  It is obvious that it is working! If a resident or staff member becomes vaccinated please notify us so that we can register your vaccination.

You can obtain your vaccine through the following link:

Thank you and stay WEL!

Daniel Frost

Executive Director
