Dear Residents, Families and Staff,
We received results from a Personal Care resident who tested positive for Covid-19. The resident has been isolated in the apartment since being notified that a family member they had close contact with tested positive and the resident began with symptoms. The resident was tested, and the results were positive. We also received a call from an IL resident stating they tested positive for Covid-19. The IL resident has been self-isolating since starting with symptoms
As a precaution we are isolating the second floor Personal Care area of the building. The personal care residents of second floor will remain in their apartments and have meal service delivered and other services provided until we are assured the virus is contained.
The doors to the second-floor personal care area are closed and IL residents should avoid this area for the current time.
All Residents: If you experience any symptoms of a fever, new or persistent cough, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell, chills, headache, muscle aches, sore throat, congestion, nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, or sudden onset of fatigue please inform the front desk. For staff members if you experience any of the symptoms, please contact your supervisor.
I continue to encourage residents to limit visitation from outside the community. From the information we have been able to gather through contact tracing we have found that our residents who have tested positive for COVID-19 have done so after visitations from family members who have tested positive. One of the biggest fears related to COVID-19 is those individuals who are asymptomatic and test positive.
Please continue to wear masks at all times throughout the community
Thank you and stay WEL!
