Update for all WEL Main Line Residents and Staff– 5/27/2022

We have had no new positives in Independent Living.  All residents continue to recover onsite and most are off quarantine at this time.

We have no new positives in the Pines (personal care) and our 1 positive continues to recover.

We have completed our second wave of sentinel testing in the Meadows and have no new positives.  The 6 positives continue to recover onsite.

We have had no new positives in staff testing.

Delaware County continues at a high community level by the CDC due to an increase in cases and hospitalizations for covid. Deaths continue to stay low.  The positivity rate in Delco is 17.5%, up from 14.3% last week.

As we move into a holiday weekend, I would ask all our residents, staff and families to recognize that if you exhibit even mild symptoms, such as runny nose or scratchy throat and you test negative with a home test, keep in mind that the testing sometimes takes a few days and table your visits or plans until your symptoms subside.  The current virus variant is highly contagious and has now begun to show more ability to infect even those who have vaccines and boosters on board. Wear your masks when out in public around crowds.

Have a safe and enjoyable Memorial Day weekend.  Please keep in mind that Memorial Day is a holiday for reflection.  For those who have served, I thank you for your service.  For those who know someone who has served, I thank you for supporting them in their service to our country.  And for those who have benefitted from the service of our men and women in the armed forces, remember their sacrifice and keep them in your thoughts and prayers this weekend.
