There are no new positives in staff testing, which continues to be twice a week out of caution.
I again reviewed the vaccine percentages by state this morning and Pennsylvania is currently ranked 29th at 29.91%, but the difference between 29th and the top ten states is approximately 3%. The number of fully vaccinated is now appx 3.8 million. The positivity rate in Delco went down from 8.9% to 8.4% last week. The hope is that this trend continues, allowing us to continue with our current protocols and build upon it for more engagement. Vaccination is open now to everyone above the age of 16, so please assist all of us by discussing getting the vaccine with anyone you know! We had our first clinic with Springfield Pharmacy onsite last Wednesday and will have ongoing clinics here every 4 weeks. The clinic is providing us with Moderna. If you know anyone who is looking for a spot to get a shot, send them our way and we will help them get the vaccine! We are now seeing more admissions who come to us from the outside community who have been fully vaccinated or at least started their shots. The trend is heartening, but there is still some threat out there since 70% of the population is still not fully vaccinated and the level of protection provided by the vaccine is still being studied. For now, it is essential to get as many vaccinated as we can as it is our best tool. But please continue to be vigilant and safe.
