Update for all WEL Main Line Residents and Staff– 10/1/2021

There are no new positives to report from any unit.  Our one positive continues to recover.  Our contact tracing has been completed and all close contacts have begun quarantine.  They will be checked a few times daily and will be tested on Monday.

The positivity in Delaware County has bumped back up above 5% to 5.2%.  We have decided to stand pat with our visitation policies and see if the rate rises next week or just goes back down below 5%.  Please keep close awareness of your health before visiting.  We have heard reports of non-respiratory symptoms with this most current strain, with complaints of nausea, diarrhea, and fatigue.  If you have any symptoms of any kind, please be cautious and delay your visit.

We have scheduled our onsite booster clinics October 20th thru the 22nd.  We will start with our Meadows and Pines residents on the 20th, Independent Living on the 21st and our staff on the 22nd.  If you are going to be offsite for your scheduled day, contact wellness and we will add you to one of the other days.  If your physician feels you should get the booster before this date, there are many options for the shot in and around our community.

Please remember to notify wellness if you are feeling unwell and staff should contact their supervisors for direction on what to do if you feel symptoms.  There is still a persistent risk that will be with us for quite some time.  Discretion is the better part of valor, so keep your own health in mind when making decisions on your daily routine.
