We received a positive test for a Pines resident who was admitted to the hospital for other care. This resident is fully vaccinated and boosted and is showing no signs or symptoms. Please keep then in your thoughts. We also have a positive in the Meadows from someone who was recently in the hospital, also vaccinated. Out of an abundance of caution, we are isolating residents in both units while we wait for test results. We will make adjustments to protocols contingent on the results of the tests. We continue to have some staff testing positive, but the cases are still very rare and have not substantially impacted core services. I do apologize for the impact on any services, but safety dictates the staffing changes we need to make in relation to positive tests. We continue to test regularly and test staff if they note any possible symptoms off site as well. Our staff is very aware of the importance of staying focused on their health and keeping their supervisors notified of any changes and I am very appreciative of the seriousness they exhibit to this situation.
I have noticed that visitation has slowed, which is much appreciated. Again, I am hopeful that this wave is short lived, and we can return to some semblance of normalcy soon. Please be safe.
