We have had 2 new positives in the Meadows with the ongoing weekly testing. The positive residents are fully vaccinated and boosted and thankfully are showing no symptoms. We have no new positives in the Pines or in Independent Living. We have had one new staff positive in the week. We will continue to test in the Meadows until we see 2 straight weeks with no positives.
The positivity in Delaware County has gone to 37.7% down from 40.1% last week. Pennsylvania has a positivity rate of 35.7%. This is a better sign for the potential of reaching the peak of this current wave. We have added more booster clinics over the next month to accommodate requests.
We will continue with our current visitation guidance in all units. Again, the rate is lower, but by no means low. Use caution with your visitation. If you are unclear on visitation guidance, reach out to me, Kim or Tamara. I want to also take a moment to thank our residents, families and staff for being as safe as possible. We are surrounded by other communities that are struggling with much bigger issues with positive cases and staffing issues. Even though every new positive feels like a defeat to us here, we do recognize that it could be much worse and the fact that the numbers are staying low is a group effort. Thank you all!
