Housekeeping has received the questionnaires and they are now going to start services this coming Monday. They will contact residents on their original housekeeping day to set up an appointment. Do not worry if you don’t remember the day, they will contact all residents who have requested for services. Please bear in mind that it may take more time for them to get the cleaning completed since there has been a period of no housekeeping, so they may not get to all apartments on regularly scheduled day, but they will do their best. When they come for services, please remember to wear your mask and they will wear theirs, and please maintain your distance while they work. If you have any questions, please contact Thelma.
Benchmark testing for fitness has started this week and will be ongoing. We are preparing to have use of the pool and the strength training room by appointment only in the near future, but more to come on that service.
The salon and bank must stay closed due to the state phasing plan and will resume services sometime around when Delaware County goes to green. As a reminder, Delaware County will be going to yellow June 5th. There has been no timeline for green announced.
There will be no resumption of transportation services for group outings at this time, but we have begun providing some transportation for individual needs such as doctor’s visit. Contact Carl for your needs.
Dining services will continue with room service, however we are working very hard on a plan for some meal service in the dining area when the construction is complete, which will be in approximately 3 weeks. The dining experience will be different than before and this reflects the differences in dining experiences in community venues. We will reassess as we continue to move forward.
To be clear, all of these services are contingent on continued lack of new positive cases. This virus is still in the area and is very contagious.
As we have mentioned in the past, we are asking all of you to wear your masks when you are outside of your apartments and we are asking you to limit your time outside of your apartment as much as you can, however we are not here to direct all of your behavior. Please keep in mind your neighbors and your own health when you make your decisions to have your family visit, go out to the store or outside physician, and practice social distancing and wear your masks. It is the best way to protect yourself as we wait for this virus to mitigate. Please take our reminders in the sentiment they are meant to be presented. We are simply here to keep you as safe as possible.
On a different note, we have been asked a few times about Jeff Reed, one of our maintenance staff. Jeff had been out before we had our first positive test for Covid 19 and had decided to retire rather than return to his position and we are sure he is enjoying his well deserved relaxation! We do thank him for his service to WEL Main Line and Martin’s Run before the affiliation. If anyone would like to extend a note of thanks or congratulations for his retirement, please contact Sam or Alicia in Human Resources for help in sending something to Jeff.
