Next Steps Update for all WEL Main Line Residents-10/2/2020

We have decided to make some changes to our courtyard visitation to allow for more access to residents and families.  I want to thank all of you for your cooperation with the visits and understanding for the logistical difficulties around these visit for our staff.

Starting October 10th, we will have visits on every other Saturday.  The times will be 11am, 1 pm and 2pm.  Please call to schedule during the week the same way as the weekday visits.

We will also change the times for Tuesday and Thursday to have evening visits at 6pm and 7pm.  These days we will start visits a bit later in the day.  Again, please call to schedule visits.

We are also increasing the number of visits from 2 a week to 3 a week and we will increase the number of visitors to 3 per resident.

These visitation changes, as with our current visitation plan, is contingent on a few things, including weather issues, and may be cancelled if weather is inclement.  As with all of our initiatives, we are also beholden to the community positivity rate.  At this point it is below 5% in Delaware County, which allows us to provide for more in person outside visits.  However if the rate increases, we may need to pull back on the visitation.  There will always be the availability to visit at the resident’s room window, if all else fails.

At this point we are not offering in room visitation unless for compassionate reasons which will be handled on a case by case basis.  These guidelines are in place to protect both the residents in our care and the staff who provides to care to our residents.  Thank you for your understanding.
