IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR September 10, 2021

Dear Residents, Families and Employees:

Testing completed this past week revealed one new employee case of COVID-19.  Effective immediately, the testing of employees will be stopped, as all of the staff is vaccinated.  If someone presents with symptoms, a test will be performed and staff sent home to await the outcome of the results.  Resident testing will continue on a monthly basis.

Non-vaccinated visitors will be permitted.  This change in position comes as we have been making exceptions to this position for various reasons.

It is not optional, you must wear facemasks always covering both your nose and mouth when in public areas; wash your hands frequently and be sensitive to social distances.

As you may be aware, all employees of healthcare must be vaccinated, as mandated by the president on Thursday, September 9.  I reported last week that our employees are vaccinated, as WEL required.  We strongly encourage all visitors to be thoughtful of the safety of our residents and employees, and receive the COVID vaccination.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me directly at the email address slachman@wel.org or by phone.

Stay well,

Suzanne H. Lachman, LNHA
