Dear Residents, Families and Employees:
The COVID transmission rate in Philadelphia remains high and the positivity rate went up slightly to 4.13%, but we have no new cases identified. Please remember, masks must be worn covering your nose and mouth, throughout the community.
The first COVID vaccination booster clinic took place on Wednesday, October 13 for residents in all levels of care, as well as for employees. The second clinic is scheduled for:
Monday, October 25 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Flu vaccines and PPDs are going to be administered to the employees from Tuesday, October 19 to October 21. Each department manager will coordinate the times with their employees. Health center residents will also receive their flu vaccines during this timeframe.
We continue to be on schedule to implement the “SARA” system on November 1. More information will be forthcoming.
Some concerns have been expressed to me regarding visitors coming in at dinner time and walking through the Fireside Dining Room, as well as stopping at tables to visit with residents in the dining room. I understand that it is a route to get to the P Building, however, weather permitting, the courtyard is also available to get to P building. Most importantly, we are not permitting guests in the Fireside Dining Room, this includes sitting or standing tableside to visit. Thank you for your courtesy and cooperation.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me directly at the email address slachman@wel.org or by phone at 267.348.3340.
Stay well,
Suzanne H. Lachman, LNHA
