Dear Residents, Families and Employees:
The COVID transmission rate in Philadelphia has reduced slightly, to “Substantial” and the positivity rate remains down at 3.3%. I am pleased to share that we have no new cases. Remember, masks must be worn covering your nose and mouth, throughout the community. Masks are required in public areas, regardless of how many people are around, or if no one is.
Independent residents, who are Dr. Farooq’s patients ONLY, will receive their flu vaccinations on Tuesday, November 9 from 10:30-11:30 AM in the Physician’s Office. If you cannot be available during this time, please contact Ryan Lang at 267-348-3349 to reschedule.
The final Flu clinic for employees will be Wednesday, November 10 from 10-11:30 AM and 2-4 PM. All departments at all times. This is to remind employees that flu shots are mandatory.
We are scheduling another COVID Booster Clinic with Pfizer and Moderna on Monday, November 15 from 2-4 PM. If you have not received your COVID vaccination, you may receive it during the clinic, regardless of whether it would be your first, second or booster shot.
The “SARA” system pendants have been distributed, tested and all residents educated on the use of the pendants. As a reminder, the old Teletron system boxes will be removed from apartments beginning the week of November 8.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me directly at the email address slachman@wel.org or by phone at 267.348.3340.
Stay well,
Suzanne H. Lachman, LNHA
Executive Director
