IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR 05/02/22

Dear Residents, Families and Employees:

Unfortunately, since my last communication on April 25th, we had one new case of COVID-19. A Health Center employee tested positive on Friday, April 29th. This employee had not worked since April 17th. Therefore, contact tracing in our facility was not required.

The positivity level for the state of Pennsylvania increased from 5 – 7.9% to 8 – 9.9%. For Bucks County, the transmission rate increased to high. The 7-day metric for positivity in Bucks County as of today increased to 8.82%, which is a 1.9% increase from my last communication on April 25th.

As a reminder, please always be diligent with your own infection control protocols. The community continues to follow all previously announced screening protocols when you enter our community and during your visit. All visitors and employees are required

to wear masks at all times (except when drinking or eating). For residents, we continue to strongly encourage the use of masks.

If you have not already signed up for the upcoming COVID-19 Booster (Pfizer) for those eligible Independent Living & Personal Care residents and employees that are interested, please ensure you do as soon as possible. We have also moved up to the start time.

Thursday, May 5th from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Heritage Hall

The Health Center is currently in the process of getting authorizations from residents and families, and they will administer the vaccine separately.

  • Independent Living residents that are interested, please sign up at the Front Desk.
  • Personal Care residents that are interested, please see Carol Kashner on the 3rd Floor.
  • Employees that are interested, please sign up with Human Resources.

Please be sure to bring the following to the clinic:

  • Completed consent form (previously sent out)
  • Your insurance card(s) including your Medicare Card (if applicable)
  • Your COVID-19 vaccination card

Lastly, for all visitors to the Health Center, please be mindful of Health Center residents attempting to leave to go into Independent Living. All residents must sign out with their nurse. If a resident is at the door as you are attempting to leave, please ask for assistance or redirect the resident to the nurse, but please do not have them exit with you.

As always, it is a true pleasure to serve you. For any questions, you may contact me directly at ldukert@wesleyenhancedliving.org or 267-895-1132. Internally, my extension is 502.

Respectfully,

Lynne Dukert, NHA, PCHA Executive Director
