Wesley Enhanced Living originated with Methodist roots dating back to 1888, and was ultimately named after John Wesley, founder of the Methodist church. Through the years WEL has affiliated with additional communities, some with specific associations; i.e. Wesley Enhanced Living at Stapeley was predominantly a Quaker community, and Wesley Enhanced Living Main Line was primarily Jewish. At this time, all communities welcome and serve all religious backgrounds, with on-site clergy offering religious services, spiritual programs and transportation to local churches and synagogues.
Which Wesley Enhanced Living communities offer Memory Care services?
Wesley Enhanced Living at Stapeley offers secure memory care in our Bridges unit. Other locations may be able to care for those showing early signs of dementia or Alzheimer's who do not pose a wander risk.
Does a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) provide medical care? What does it cost to live at WEL?
A continuing care retirement community refers to a community that provides services based on the level of care needed by a resident. Someone who moves in at an Independent (IL) level is just that, independent. There is no care provided and they live as if they are in their own apartment or home. When a resident starts to require additional help with activities of daily living, such as medication management, showering, dressing, getting around the community, etc., Personal Care services (PC) are available. When a resident requires care at a higher level than Personal Care, Skilled Nursing is also available. Pricing varies by level of care and WEL location. Insurance is accepted at a Skilled Nursing level. Please contact your desired location for more detailed information.
Is Wesley Enhanced Living pet friendly?
All Wesley Enhanced Living communities are pet friendly, with prior authorization and proof of continually updated vaccination records. Residents will be required to sign a Pet Policy with rules and regulations regarding the care and conditions required in order to maintain your pet in our community.
