Executive Director: Weekly COVID-19 Update November 24, 2020

Dear Residents, Families and Employees:

It is very unfortunate that I must share with you that an independent resident in the community was sent to the hospital and tested positive for COVID-19.  As I write this memo, the staff has created a list of residents who were in contact with the positive resident, and are presently obtaining specimens for COVID-19 testing.

All residents who were in contact are required to remain in their rooms on strict isolation/quarantine for the next 14 days.  Results of the tests will be provided upon receipt.

In addition, there was a new case identified in the health center this date: 

As part of the CMS requirements to keep you informed of COVID-19 activity within the health center of this community, please be advised of the following:

☒New Confirmed Infection(s) of COVID-19: 1New Cumulative Total of COVID-19 Infections: 40
☐Three or more
☐residents or
☐staff with new on-set of respiratory symptoms occurring within 72 hours of each other.
Mitigating actions implemented to prevent or reduce the risk of transmission.☐Normal operations will be altered.
☒Resident(s) will be moved to quarantine unit.
☐Droplet precautions will be initiated.
☐Resident(s) will be placed on isolation.
☐Resident currently hospitalized.
