Residents and Families,
“What is coming is better that what has gone“. I saw this quote and thought it really applies to where we are right now. Our last Resident to test positive occurred on 6/18/2020. Our last Employee tested positive on 5/20/2020. We are down to five Residents in our red zone quarantine neighborhood and they are improving and expected to transition out within the next two weeks. Our Health Care Residents on our first floor are enjoying time out in the garden and there was even an Independent Living bridge game played this week in our Main Dining Room!
Secretary Levine issued some new guidance this week with regards to easing of some restrictions. To be clear, nothing has changed yet. We will be doing complete testing of all our Employees and HCC Residents on 7/15/2020. Once we get those results back, the countdown begins. If we go two weeks without a new positive, we can move into the next phase. The Team here is working on that plan and will share and publish it and post it on our website as soon as it is completed. Dr. Levine also ordered testing of all Personal Care Residents to be completed no later than 8/31/2020.
As a reminder, everyone in the community must wear a face mask; Residents must wear a face mask or some face covering that will cover the nose and mouth area, at all times in public, and practice social distancing of six feet (6’) distance from each other. I have seen some folks without their masks on when out and about; now is not the time to let our guard down. We must still be very cautious and vigilant. We will get back to “normal”
Please take care of yourselves, and I will be in touch again soon.
