Executive Director: Weekly COVID-19 Update January 29, 2021

Dear Residents, Families and Co-workers:

Finally, as of 6:00 p.m. last evening, the second vaccination clinic is confirmed, and is for health center residents and staff only.

The second clinic will provide the following to health center residents and all staff:

  • Second dose of the COVID vaccine for anyone who received their first dose on January 10
  • First dose for health center residents and for employees who want to receive the vaccine

For employees who decide at the last minute to come to receive the vaccine, you must present your insurance cards, and will be required to complete the consent form.

Unfortunately, based on the information that we have available about the number of doses that will be supplied, we will not be able to vaccinate personal care or independent residents during this clinic.  There is another clinic that is tentatively scheduled for mid-February that is identified for personal care.  We will work hard to include independent residents at that time.

I recognize what a disappointment this is to all of you.  Please understand that we have no control over what vaccine is made available to us, any more than the pharmacies have control over what vaccine is available to them.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have by phone or directly to my email.

Stay safe,

Suzanne H. Lachman, LNHA
