Executive Director update 11/4/2021

Dear Residents, Families and Employees:

Late last week, one of our Employees tested positive for COVID-19. This Employee had very limited contact with other Employees and Residents. Everyone who was in contact with this person as been notified and tested. All those tested were negative and there have been no reports of any other Employees or Residents with symptoms.

The positivity rate for Pennsylvania has decreased from 9.1% to 8.8% for the past week. For Philadelphia County the positivity rate has decreased from 4.3% to 3.3%. Things are moving in the right direction for now. With the approval of the COVID vaccine for everyone five years old and up, there is cause for hope that we are turning a corner.  With that said, we still need to follow all precautions including mask wearing and handwashing.  If you need assistance in obtaining a booster, please let us know.  For Independent Living, you can contact your Social Worker.   Personal Care and Health Care Center Residents should check with your nurse.

For any concerns, you may contact me at kbeiler@wel.org or 215-991-7101.

With gratitude,

Ken Beiler

Executive Director, Wesley Enhanced Living at Stapeley
