Executive Director: COVID-19 Update October 9, 2020

According to regulatory requirements, we have completed testing for all health center employees, and I am happy to report that all results were negative. New guidance dated October 7, from the PA Department of Health advises that if one case of COVID-19 develops in the resident population then all residents are to be tested.
Flu vaccines continue to be administered in the health center and to employees. Personal care residents flu vaccinations have been moved to the week of October 12. The Philadelphia Department of Public Health (PDPH) is anticipating a low flu season secondary to the precautions that folks are taking due to the pandemic.
We continue to be on schedule for The Fireside Dining Room re-opening on Monday, October 19. As a reminder, there will be two primary times for seating. Half of the first seating will be escorted to the tables at 4:00 and the second half of the first seating will be escorted to the table at 4:15 p.m. The second seating will be split in half and escorted to tables at 5:15 and 5:30 p.m.
