Executive Director COVID-19 update 12/04/2020

Dear Residents, Families and Employees,

We are continuing our twice-weekly testing of all Employees and have identified four new positive Employees.  These Employees are self-quarantining at their homes and we have conducted contact tracing as indicated.  In addition, weekly testing of our Health Care Center Residents has revealed eight were positive.  All Residents with a positive COVID-19 diagnosis are re-located to our red zone quarantine area.  This area is sectioned off from the rest of the building with a plastic partition wall.  Employees who work in this area do not leave it or enter any other part of the community for the duration of their shift.  When their work is over, they exit through a side stairway that takes them directly outside to go home.  On a positive note, no Residents in the red zone are experiencing significant symptoms.

We continue to sanitize, educate Employees and monitor the proper PPE attire.  We are looking to obtain a 14 day window without any new positive COVID cases in Residents and Employees.  When that occurs it will signal the potential to begin re-opening phases.

As always, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.  My email is kbeiler@wel.org and my phone number is 215-991-7101

Sincerely,

Ken Beiler

Executive Director
