Executive Director COVID-19 update 1/27/2021

Today, we received a call from an IL resident stating they were ill and needed assistance. The call was followed with the resident testing positive for COVID-19. Through tracing we believe the resident came in contact through visitation from family.
The resident has been quarantined to the apartment, contact tracing was conducted and the residents having contact have been notified and instructed to quarantine for a minimum of 14 days.
All Residents: If you experience any symptoms of a fever, new or persistent cough, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell, chills, headache, muscle aches, sore throat, congestion, nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, or sudden onset of fatigue please inform the care office. For staff members if you experience any of the symptoms please contact your supervisor.

I continue to encourage residents to limit visitation from outside the community. From the information we have been able to gather through contact tracing we have found that our IL residents who have tested positive for COVID-19 have done so after visitations from family members who have tested positive. One of the biggest fears related to COVID-19 is those individuals who are asymptomatic and test positive.

Please continue to wear masks at all times while around others who do not live with you. Maintain social distancing of 6 feet when in contact with those who don’t reside with you

Please Remember:
“Resist the Urge and Help Fight the Surge!

Thank you and stay WEL!

Daniel Frost
Executive Director
