Different Walk, Same Reasons
The world may look a little different right now, but one thing hasn’t charged: our commitment to ending Alzheimer’s. This year, Walk to End Alzheimer’s is everywhere on every sidewalk, track and trail.
We will be hosting our own “virtual” walk at Wesley Enhanced Living at Stapeley this year to show our commitment to everyone who is affected by this challenging disease. Participants can arrive at Stapeley between 10-2 to pick up their maps.
The walk will take place in our own neighborhood and along with our community partnerships and local businesses, we will walk in support and solidarity for finding a cure.
The event is open to residents, family members, friends, neighbors. There will be options for routes depending on individual preference and for the necessity of social distancing.
There is no fee to participate but donations will be accepted to raise funds to support the Alzheimer’s association.
Please wear your purple to show support and promote awareness, signs and banners are encouraged! Masks are required.
If you would like to participate, please contact Amy van Brug at avanbrug@wel.org.
