COVID 19 Updated Precautions for all Doylestown Residents – 3/15/2020 update

In light of the current extraordinary, national effort to prevent the spread of a deadly virus, we are taking some severe precautions:

  1. As you know, we have restricted entry to the building to ALL visitors including family members.
  2. Effective immediately, all group activities including worship services will be discontinued until further notice.
  3. The resident dining room will be closed after dinner on Sunday March 15th and will not open until further notice. Beginning on Monday March 16th staff will deliver all meals to resident apartments. Instructions for meal service will be provided to residents.
  4. Other than medically necessary physician visits, we implore residents not to leave the WEL Doylestown campus at this time. As you know, Montgomery County and Bucks County are closed to avoid community spread of this illness. We have seen the effects of COVID 19 on the 65+ population and we do not want you to be exposed unnecessarily. We want to keep you and staff as healthy and safe as possible.

Remember that our employee teams are focused on providing needed services and supplies to all residents.

We are enacting this policy because the health and welfare of residents guide everything we do.

This message is also recorded on our Emergency Communication line for WEL Doylestown and can be heard by dialing 267-350-2306.

Thank you for your ongoing patience, partnership and understanding at this time.

If you have any questions at all, please contact Steve Cherry, Executive Director, at 267-895-1113, or any Leadership Team member.
