COVID-19 Update for all WEL Main Line Residents and Staff– 5/8/2020

The Meadows has seen 1 more positive test returned in our residents.    We sadly have had 1 new death in the Meadows since our last update on 5/5.  We continue to employ the most stringent infection control procedures we have at our disposal and we are hoping we have been able to get ahead of this outbreak.  We continue to hold to our isolation for the residents and no visitors in the Meadows for the time being, but we are hopeful we can relax some of these in the near future if we see a decline in positive cases.  We have also received a large shipment of personal protective equipment including gowns, N95 masks, gloves and face shields.

We have had no positive cases in the Pines with staff or residents to date.  We are so thankful for this blessing to date and also hold to no visitors in this unit.

In the Independent Living unit, we have had no more positive tests and no new deaths among our current positives.  We still have one positive in the hospital and our other positive cases continue to recover in their apartments.  Please continue to maintain social distance and mask wearing if you must come out of your apartment and limit your time out of your apartment.  As always, please contact wellness with any concerns about your health.

Our Covid positive staff continues to return from self quarantine as per CDC guidelines and all staff that is still in quarantine continues to recover.  There has been no significant impact on staff’s health status, such as hospitalization or death.
