COVID-19 Update for all WEL Main Line Residents and Staff– 4/16/2020

We want to review the most current status of our positive staff members, residents and the most current test results of our residents and staff.

We have gotten some more positive tests in the Meadows and continue to test anyone who shows any symptoms.  Our first positive residents continue to recover and we are working hard to care for the new positive residents.  We have more positive staff results as well and they are home recovering.  We have also been able to welcome some of our first positive staff back to work, fully recovered.  They have returned to work based on the current CDC guidelines for safe return.  All staff at home continue to recover and will return to work when they are clear per CDC guidelines.

As of last night, we do have a new positive case in Independent Living, currently in the hospital.  Based on tracing, this resident would have little to no contact in the last 21 days with other residents due to their self quarantine prior to our facility wide effort of staying in apartments.  If you have not been contacted by Wellness, you would not have had any close contact with anyone in IL who is currently positive.

Please keep all of those affected by this virus in your thoughts and prayers and also please keep your dedicated staff in your thoughts as well.  They are working very hard under difficult circumstances to keep you safe and as comfortable as you can be with the current state we find ourselves.

If you have any concern about symptoms(fever, dry cough, flu like), please call us.  We have a nursing assistant here overnight to get vitals from you in your apartment if necessary, as well as security. We will continue to be here daily to assist any way we can.  Thank you all.
