Dear Residents and Families,
Yesterday I learned two of our Employees tested positive for COVID-19, and this morning three additional employees reported positive test results. All five Employees are home in self-quarantine and experiencing mild symptoms related to the virus. Moreover, I understand each was asymptomatic or exhibiting minimal symptoms during their last shift at our community. And, as I shared earlier, our one resident with COVID-19 remains in quarantine and thankfully continues to experience only minimal symptoms.
Please join me in keeping all those impacted by this virus and their loved ones in your thoughts.
This development is a reminder of how important it is that we all play our part in limiting the spread of this virus. Please continue to adhere to the preventive measures we have implemented.
As you may be aware, we have instituted multiple health screenings daily for all employees who enter our community, and we have expanded our Personal Protective Equipment standards for employees, now requiring masks at all times and gloves whenever a staff member is providing resident care. We will continue to do all we can minimize the risk of exposure for our residents and staff.
As a reminder, any resident who begin to experience a fever, cough or shortness of breath should inform a member of our WEL care team immediately. Thank you for your continued understanding and cooperation.
Sincerely,
Ken Beiler
Executive Director
