My mother had Alzheimer’s and spent her final years at Stapeley. In her time there, the nursing staff treated her with love and respect. Whenever I visited, my mom would be with the nurses and would be at ease and happy. They would give me updates about how mom was doing that day – good mood, bad mood, feisty, a little sad – they kept a good eye on her and I could tell. It meant and means a lot to me that they opened up their hearts to my mother.
