Wesley Enhanced Living Main Line Explores “Bold and Free Watercolors” with Artist Spotlight Series in August

Newest Artist Spotlight Series features Priscilla Bohlen, and includes a hands-on workshop for residents and community members MEDIA, PA (August 10th, 2016) — Wesley Enhanced Living Main Line will continue the community’s popular and long running Artist Spotlight Series in August with Priscilla Bohlen’s exhibit. The display, which runs from August 1st to September 28th, is open to Wesley Enhanced Living Main Line residents and visitors, and will include an exclusive workshop led by Bohlen on August 11th at 1:00 pm addressing “Bold and Free Blending Watercolors”. Bohlen is a professional visual artist who works on canvas using acrylic paint, with resist and mediums. She acquired her BFA from the Moore College of Art and studied fine art at the graduate level at CW Post College (now known as LIU Post). Bohlen then moved to the Philadelphia area and began painting scenes of the Schuylkill in oil.  But more recently, she has focused on abstracts with acrylic. “Our residents have been enjoying the monthly artist spotlight for years” says Linda Sterthous, Wesley Enhanced Living Main Line executive director. “But this one is particularly exciting because residents and members of the community have the opportunity to participate in a hands-on workshop side by side with the featured artist.” The Artist Spotlight Series remains a popular community benefit since its introduction in 2012. It was originally created to enable Wesley Enhanced Living Main Line residents to experience art right in their own community. The program has since grown into a robust and highly anticipated community event each month. To reserve a spot at the artist workshop on August 11th, or for more information on Wesley Enhanced Living Main Line’s Artist Spotlight Series, please contact program coordinator, Amy Blum at 610.353.7660 ext. 254 or email ablum@wel.org.
