Regional Leader in Aging Services
- Impacting aging services: WEL has singularly created a unique new senior housing and health care delivery and funding model: Senior Healthcare & Housing Initiative for Transformation. This new model promises to save Medicare and Medicaid large percentages of their spending while producing improved health outcomes and quality of life for seniors. Learn more.
- Expanding our footprint in aging services: Our newest affiliation, Martins Run, now known as Wesley Enhanced Living Main Line, has enabled Wesley Enhanced Living to broaden, teach and serve aging adults throughout the Delaware region. The community's reputation is stellar with beautifully maintained grounds, and represents exciting opportunities for enhancements in the years to come.
- Helping distressed communities: Our affiliate, Stapeley, a well established CCRC in Northwest Philadelphia that had been financially distressed, has experienced operational stability and profitability since affiliating with WEL in 2010. This affiliation with WEL also helped to secure over 250 jobs in the Germantown area of Philadelphia, and assured that many seniors' health care and residential living needs in that area would still be met.
- Optimizing our communities and operations: We have already completed multi-million dollar upgrades for all but one of our communities, which is now underway. Against the backdrop of an anemic housing market and challenging economy we have been able to sustain near capacity occupancy levels at our communities.
